Funded through a partnership with the Howard County Department of Community Resources and Services. Bridges’ Shelter Diversion program is an alternative to traditional shelters for hard to shelter families with children. Through Shelter Diversion, we quickly place families with children who lose their homes into permanent housing instead of shelters and provide short-term comprehensive case management, rental and financial assistance, and life skills training.
Potential families with children are referred through the Howard County Coordinated Entry System partner agency case managers. Households must be currently homeless Howard County residents with a Coordinated Entry System Case Manager or Housing Advocate.
Please note that there is a limited amount of vacancy in this program. For more details, please contact Megan Lohin, Program Assistant at 410-312-5760, or click here to email her.
