This summer, Bridges was awarded critical COVID-19 operating relief funding. This funding, in addition to the client assistance relief funding we’ve received since COVID-19 began, allows Bridges to continue to serve the most vulnerable in our community during these unprecedented times.
The DHCD Maryland Nonprofit Recovery Initiative and Maryland Small Business COVID-19 Emergency Relief Grant Fund have provided Bridges with funds to support the operating costs of our Housing Connections program, which served 51 individuals in the last fiscal year, and the employment services that served 38 clients. Bridges is very grateful for this state funding, which has allowed us to retain our program staff who work so diligently to serve those experiencing homelessness or housing instability in our community.
