The Housing Stability Subsidy Program provides housing subsidies to Howard County residents with long term housing instability and/or disabilities that have exhausted all the services of local homeless prevention, housing stability, rapid re-housing and/or shelter programs available in Howard County and continue to be unable to secure affordable, stable housing. Tenants in the program receive ongoing case management and support from Bridges staff to remain stable and work toward long-term goals.
HOW ARE INDIVIDUALS REFERRED?
Individuals are referred by the Service Coordinator of the Coordinated System of Homeless Services from a list of households that have been identified as being highly vulnerable and need permanent supportive housing to stay stable. They are referred to Bridges to Housing Stability for housing location and long term case management services.
Funding is provided through Howard County’s Department of Community Resources and Services.
