We had a BLAST our our 7th Annual Chili Cook Off!
On Sunday, March 19th, 2017 at 12:30pm, Bridges to Housing Stability hosted our 7th Annual Chili Cook off event at Church of the Resurrection. With a total of 12 congregations ready to BATTLE it out, the Howard County Community was served with all varieties of Chili and we raised a total of $20,619. We would like to congratulate the following 2017 WINNERS:
Best Vegetarian Chili: Columbia Jewish Congregation
Best Non-meat Chili (that would be our seafood entry): New Hope Lutheran
Best Meat Chili: Glen Mar United Methodist Church
And the winners in the fundraising categories are:
Silver Ladle – Church of the Resurrection
(most pre- event funds raised–these come from events such as internal cook-offs, mission dinners to raise funds, online donation campaigns, etc.)
Silver Ladle – St. Andrews Episcopal Church, Glenwood MD
(Most money in the tip jars on the day of the event)
Golden Ladle – Our Lady of Perpetual HelpÂ – 2nd YEAR IN A ROW!!
(Most money raised combining pre-events and day-of Cook-off)
